On this page we hope you will find some useful links that can support you with any home learning as well as provide a link to our learning in school. Many of the websites are ones that your children will be used to seeing and / or accessing in school.
Reading eggs / Reading Eggspress is a fantastic website to improve a range of literacy skills but reading and spelling in particular. Each child has been given a login for the current academic year. When they log in they may have assignments set by the teacher. If so, these will need to be completed first. Then there are a range of great features such as fun interactive lessons in which they can earn eggs. These can be spent on virtual clothes an apartment, or on arcade games. They can browse books in a library by genre and even challenge others to games online.
This is a HUGE literacy resource. There are many different 'sheds' which link to resources such as videos, pictures, activities and ideas for writing.
Your child will have been given log in details for TTRS. This is a great way for your child to improve their quick fire recall of times tables. Many pupils in the last couple of years have developed their times table knowledge and speed hugely as a result of using TTRS. Why not challenge your child to see who is fastest?!
There are all sorts of games, activities and problems to solve. We like the 'Starter of the Day' in particular for quick activities, often to get the pupil's brains engaged as they come into school.
This website has loads of useful instructional videos, worksheets, study cards and quizzes. We like the '5 a day' daily activities to challenge and consolidate learning.
